 Review of Wards and Representation

The Shire of Victoria Plains is conducting a review of its wards and representation and invites public participation in the review.

Ward boundaries and the number of offices of councillor for each ward will be reviewed against the following five factors:

 Community of interest

  1. Physical and topographic features
  2. Demographic trends
  3. Economic factors
  4. Ratio of councillors to electors in the various wards.

 A discussion paper is available outlining the current situation and several alternative ward structures on our website.

 Public submissions on the Wards and Representation are invited from interested members of the community and other stakeholders.

 Submissions can be made via –

In person – 28 Cavell St, Caligiri

 Submissions must be received no later than 5.00pm on Thursday, 27 October 2022 and must be clearly marked Review of Wards and Representation – Submission.

 Public information sessions will be held on 12 (Piawaning) and 13 October (Calingiri) 2022, with details advertised on the website in the near future.
