Plains. Forms are available at the Shire Office or can be downloaded from our website. There are

fines for people that have unregistered dogs and cats.

LIVESTOCK

ALL

livestock owners must have secure fences and gates. It is an offence to have livestock out on

the roads. Please ensure your fences and gates are adequate for your livestock

FOOTPATHS

Please note there are to be

NO

vehicles parked on the footpaths. The footpaths are to be clear at

all times for people to walk on.

Thanks to a grant from the Department of Local Government and Communities the Victoria

Plains Shire is going to be doing some serious youth planning in 2016.

We were listening when in 2015 the community expressed the top priority in VP should be to

keep young people in the Shire. So we are opening our doors and inviting all young people

aged 12—25, who live, work or participate in recreational activities in VP (including those who

are currently away for school/study) to guide us to create a “youth friendly” community.

No specific activities or events have been planned at this stage, as we want it to be youth

driven, so in the coming weeks we will be searching for “youth champions” from across the

Shire to act as our reference group. This group will help organise and lead youth engagement

activities.

If you are, or you know of a youth champion please contact me to

nominate

. As the needs of a 12 year old will be very different to that of a 25 year old, we may

end up with 2 sub-groups.

For further info or to nominate a youth champion, please contact Jaime Hawkins on 9628
