Good day to you all,

2016 is moving too fast and it’s already March. Easter is just around the

corner…… Attached photo’s are staff attached to Wongan Hills Police. Senior

Constable Cameron Cunningham 12745 imminent transfer to Warakurna MFPF

in a few weeks. I would like to thank Cameron and his wife, Nikki dedicated their

two years in Wongan Hills and both have made a lot of friends here.

POLICE ATTENDANCE

TRAFFIC—HOONING & TRAFFIC OFFENCES

February 29, 2016 Wongan Hills in conjunction with Moora Police arrested a 27 years old female driving a

Toyota sedan stolen from a Burglary from Applecross that morning.

I would like to thank the ladies from Calingiri Traders alerting Police after they detected someone behaving

suspiciously in the store.

Police from neighbouring district kept a lookout for the stolen vehicle and located it driving towards Moora

after a fuel drive off at Miling.

Wongan Hills Police apprehended the driver after a reported traffic crash north of Moora. The offender was

charged with Burglary, Stealing of motor vehicle, more stealing, reckless driving, driving under court

cancellation and phew! other minor offences. Offender was refused bail.

Early February 2016, Police located a reported stolen vehicle behind a house in Wongan Hills. Police kept the

premises under observation for a short period and shortly apprehended a 44 years old

man for stealing a

motor vehicle, driving without a valid driver’s licence and assault public officer. The offender was

refused bail.

Recently, Wongan Hills Police have detected an increase of

unlicensed drivers driving a vehicle without a valid

driver’s licence . They are facing prosecution in the near future.

Also as a general reminder, a registered owner of a motor vehicle, you commit an offence if you permit an unlicensed person

to drive your vehicle. Please ask and see their driver’s licence before you loan your vehicle.

Businesses with large employees and drivers should have implemented hardcopy register. If you are not sure how to set it

up, please come and see me. I am happy to assist.

Wongan Hills Police welcome any information you may have about illegal drugs in Wongan Hills and it’s

surrounding areas. The information you provide will be confidential.

It’s an ongoing intelligence and information received and we have actioned and continue to action it applying for a search

warrant for searching a premises.
