Blessing of the Roads Easter 2016
The Shire of Victoria Plains held its 5
th
annual Blessing of the Roads ceremony in
New Norcia on Thursday 24
th
March 2016 when 50 people turned up to show their
support of road safety and to participate in the blessing which was once again led
by Abbott John Herbert from the Benedictine Community.
The service was attended by local MLA Member for Moore Shane Love,
Superintendant Peter Halliday from the Wheatbelt Police District along with
Wheatbelt Traffic Coordinator Sergeant Tony Page, Shire President David
Lovelock, other Councillors, local community members and visitors to New
Norcia. After the blessing they gathered at the New Norcia Hotel for morning tea.
