Cory Payne WA Young Achiever Award "People's Choice"
Cory Payne made the state grand final in The WA Young Achiever Awards in
the School Drug Education and Road Aware Health and Well Being category
and won People's Choice overall. This is a huge achievement for Cory and
super proud of him.
He was nominated by locals Rex, Tracey, Lauren Glass and Owen Catto (Men's
Health Wheatbelt) for his efforts in raising awareness to our young drivers on
our country roads and participating in fun runs/walks to help raise now over
$40 000 for various charities since his own life changing moment due to a car
accident in February 2014
Rex, Tracey, Lauren & David Smith, your Councillor, attended the event also and was great to see
their support on the night.
Cory is also been invited to tell his story at the Calingiri Cougars vs.
Gingin game this Sunday (11 June) after an invitation from Max Smith
& The Cougars footy club
The Police fromWongan Hills recently

morning tea of homemade scones and
coffee !!
