Cheerio from Val and Dave Keys
It’s time for us to leave Calingiri. We have loved our time in Calingiri for the
past 28 years, we both volunteered in various ways to improve our little town.
I (Val) thoroughly enjoyed being a member in Townscape and in the latter
years, Progress Assoc. Yes, we did battle along but we had a lot of FUN and
laughs. Also, as members we could definitely see the improvement we all
took part in around Calingiri.
Funny, I feel as though I'm a 'country girl' through and through - although it's
still difficult at times to get my head around farming. I'm lucky not to have
been a farmer's wife, as I'm hopeless at making scones.
So, as the 2 Ronnies would say "It's goodbye from me and goodbye from
him". Thank you all at the Shire for "your smiling faces" and help in more
ways than one.
