ANZAC DAY 25TH APRIL 2017
The Victoria Plains Shire Council invites residents to an Anzac Day
commemorative service will be held on 25th April 2017 at the Victoria
Plains Shire War Memorial, Yulgering Road, Calingiri.
The theme of commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War One
(WW1) will continue, acknowledging the 1917 Australian and New Zealand
campaigns at Passchendaele, Bullecourt and the Palestinian Desert
campaign culminating in the last great cavalry charge at Beersheba.
Residents who have had grandparents or great-grandparents who directly
served in WW1 are
particularly welcomed to this year's service.
