The Locals Best Kept Secrets
The Bolgart Hotel
Turn right off the highway and you will find the OBH of the Bush, The Bolgart Hotel. The 108 year old hotel is a double story brick construction with gabled corrugated iron roof. Built in 1916, the Bolgart Hotel is one of only six state hotels built in Western Australia and is considered a significant piece of Wheatbelt history.
As a community, 16 local families banded together in mid-2020 to purchase the building and breathe some life into the old girl again. Considered vital to preserve the heart of the small community for generations to come; a place to gather during good times and the tough, share stories of the past and make new memories.
The Bolgart Hotel's menu features traditional pub food including Parmi's, burgers, steak sandwiches and more. The hotel offers craft beers on tap, as well as the usual selection of drinks. Don't miss the Bolgart Burger, a favourite with the locals.

Mogumber Hub
The historic building is over 130 years old, dating back to 1892. Located 120km north-east of Perth, the Mogumber Hub is situated on the midland’s railway line, the first transport route of the district.
Upon purchasing the property in December of 2022, the Mogumber community spent 6 intensive months rejuvenation the building. A foundation donation drive saw 120 people donate $1000 each, helping the initial renovation phase. The false ceiling was removed, and the original ceiling height restored, exposing the historic brickwork and chimney remnants. The bathrooms were overhauled with modern plumbing and the electrics have been updated. Majority of the hard work was completed by local volunteers, with several community busy bees conducted. The establishment re-opened on the 10th June 2023 and has been a popular place for locals and tourists since.
The Mogumber Hub is located a short walk from the Mogumber Campground and offers a wide range of food and beverages. Make sure you save room for dessert and try a piece of the chef's famous homemade cheesecake.
The historic licensed venue is owned and operated by the Mogumber Outback Club Inc, a local not-for-profit community group.
